Unbilled Work: Find The Money You're Owed

The Unbilled Work report lists every completed work order that hasn't been invoiced yet, with its completion date, customer, property and value. At the top, you'll see how many jobs are waiting and what they're worth. If you can see pay rates, you'll also see the hours, labor cost and margin on each job. Click any work order to open it and invoice it on the spot. Once it's invoiced, it drops off the list.

Expenses: Your Real Cost Of Doing The Work

The Expenses report breaks down your direct costs:

• Labor — paid hours priced at each person's rate, with a breakdown by employee
• Materials — inventory used on jobs, at the cost recorded when it was used
• Fuel — fill-ups, volume and cost for each vehicle

Where Did The Hours Go?

You pay for the whole shift, but only part of it is spent on the job. Command Force compares the payroll clock with the job clock month by month and shows the hours that went to travel, loading and yard time. It even flags clock entries over 16 hours, which are almost always a forgotten clock-out.
